From that awareness we strive for a better world for future generations. We do this from our hearts, together with our team.

Our foundation for change

To enhance the success of our social and sustainable activities, Avit has established an ESG policy. This contains our goals for 2024 and ambitions for 2030, which were determined in part based on employee input. We choose goals that are close to us and our people and that we believe Avit can add the most value to. The ESG policy is an integral part of our business strategy.

A sustainable, stimulating work environment

For all offices at home and abroad, Avit strives for a sustainable, carbon-neutral and inspiring working environment. The headquarters of Avit Netherlands is located in Vianen, in a spacious office building where attention is paid to sustainability and well-being of our people. We only use green energy and the office is equipped with solar panels, solar boilers, heat pumps and a heat recovery system. Our equipment is energy efficient and defective appliances are given a second life or recycled.

We also encourage sustainable behavior among our employees. We separate waste, reduce paper use as much as possible and lights go off in places where no one is. Together, we also participate in activities such as World Cleanup Day. With many small efforts, together we make a big difference.

To promote the well-being of our employees, the Vianen office also has its own gym. In addition, employees are given the opportunity to work flexibly and hybrid, which contributes to a better work-life balance and reduces CO₂ emissions from commuting. Also, many colleagues drive hybrid or fully electric and we avoid air travel whenever possible.

Avit has received a Silver EcoVadis Rating for our commitment to ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) goals. The EcoVadis Rating is an independent assessment of ESG performance based on four themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement.

Social Enterprise Performance Ladder: Measurable and visible social employment

With the PSO certificate, Avit demonstrates its structural contribution to an inclusive labor market. We offer opportunities to people with a distance to the labor market and actively cooperate with social partners and suppliers who also find this important.

Sustainable Certification

As the first Cisco Partner in the Benelux & The Nordics, Avit has achieved the Cisco Environmental Sustainability Specialization. This is a specialization that encourages Cisco partners to responsibly reuse or recycle discarded products. In addition, Avit holds the ISO14001 certification, which means that we meet strict environmental and sustainability standards.

Avit is on step 4 of the CO₂ performance ladder, indicating that we not only strive to reduce CO₂ emissions within our own organization, but also pay attention to the entire supply chain and industry. This position underscores our commitment to sustainability and ongoing pursuit of environmentally conscious practices.
