Project Engineer (Wireless) Networking

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

As a (wireless) networking engineer you will carry out project-based work at medium-sized and enterprise customers in the Netherlands and abroad. Together with a team of colleagues you implement environments based on the latest Cisco technologies. We offer our customers end-to-end solutions. This gives users secure access to company data and location-independent access to IT facilities. The work includes the realization of the functional and technical design. In addition, you will take care of the implementation or migration to achieve a successful conclusion of the project.

WHAT TASKS WILL YOU PERFORM?

Properly, efficiently and independently execute projects under the direction of a project manager in a project team;
Independently developping your technical knowledge, maintaining it at a consistently high level and be willing to share it with colleagues;
Co-responsibility for building knowledge and experience within the knowledge team;
Keeping up with relevant market developments;
Ability to function as an interface between our customers and our own organization;
Achieving set project goals as member of the project team.

WHAT DO WE ASK FOR?

A demonstrable Higher Vocational education work and thinking level. A completed ICT training is a plus;
You have proven experience of at least 3 years as a Project Engineer;
You hold Cisco CCNP wireless or CCNP Enterprise with ENWLSD+ENWLSI or are willing to obtain them in the near future;
Other Wi-Fi certifications such as CWNA/CWDP are a plus;
Generic certifications in the area of Cisco networking are a plus;
Good knowledge of the Dutch and English language in word and writing. German and/or French is a plus;
You are familiar with working in accordance with the standards as stated within ISO9001, ISO27001 and ISO14001;
In possession of a driver's license (B);
You are enthusiastic, positive, eager to learn and have solid experience with implementations on a project basis;
Experience in troubleshooting within various Cisco networking products, or broad experience with various wired and wireless technologies;
You value delivering quality and taking initiative to continuously improve our services;
A passion for all things Cisco networking;
Experience in preparing functional and technical designs for complex Cisco/Meraki networking environments;
Knowledge of and demonstrated experience with one or more Wireless technologies such as: AireOS, Aironet, Prime Infrastructure, Radio Frequency technology (RF), antenna operation and Wi-Fi standards;
Knowledge of and demonstrated experience with one or more Security technologies such as; WPA2/WPA3, 802.1x, ISE, AAA, Web Portals;
Knowledge of and experience with one or more Networking technologies such as; switching, routing, QoS;
Knowledge of and experience with Cisco location services (MSE/CMX/DNA Spaces, Meraki location services) are a plus;
Knowledge of and experience with the Cisco wireless portfolio (9800 WLC, DNA-Center, CMX) and the Meraki wireless portfolio (Meraki MR) are a plus;
Knowledge of and experience with Cisco voice over WLAN are a plus;
Knowledge of and experience with wireless designing and troubleshooting (Ekahau Sidekick, spectrum analyzer) are a plus.
