This policy outlines our goals for 2024 and ambitions for 2030, which were determined in part based on input from employees. We set goals that are close to us and our people and where we believe Avit can add the most value. The ESG policy is an integral part of our business strategy.

A sustainable, stimulating environment
For all offices in the Netherlands and abroad, Avit strives for a sustainable, CO2-neutral, and inspiring working environment. The head office of Avit Netherlands is located in Vianen, in a spacious office building where attention is paid to sustainability and the well-being of our people. We only use green energy, and the office is equipped with solar panels, solar boilers, heat pumps, and a heat recovery system. Our equipment is energy-efficient, and we give defective devices a second life or recycle them.
We also encourage sustainable behavior among our employees. We separate waste, reduce paper use as much as possible, and switch off lights in places where no one is. Together we also participate in activities such as World Cleanup Day. With many small efforts, we make a big difference together.
To promote the well-being of our employees, the office in Vianen also has its own gym. In addition, employees are given the opportunity to work flexibly and hybrid, which contributes to a better work-life balance and reduces CO2 emissions from commuting. Many colleagues also drive hybrid or fully electric cars, and we avoid air travel whenever possible.
Sustainable certifications
As the first Cisco partner in the Benelux & The Nordics, Avit has achieved the Cisco Environmental Sustainability Specialization. This is a specialization that encourages Cisco partners to responsibly reuse or recycle decommissioned products. In addition, Avit is ISO14001 certified, which means that we meet strict environmental and sustainability standards.
Avit is on step 4 of the CO2 performance ladder, which indicates that we are not only striving to reduce CO2 emissions within our own organization but also paying attention to the entire chain and sector. This position underscores our commitment to sustainability and the continuous pursuit of environmentally conscious practices.

Inclusive employment practices
At Avit, we believe that everyone should have equal opportunities in the labor market. That's why we are constantly working on inclusive employment practices. We do this, among other things, by offering opportunities to starters and people with a distance to the labor market. As a result, we have obtained the quality mark for the Social Entrepreneurship Performance Ladder (PSO).
