We are proud to announce that Avit has won the tender for ‘Network Infrastructure as a Service’ (NIaaS) from the province of Utrecht. For the next five years, we will be providing the province with a reliable, secure, and scalable Cisco network for the province, its employees, and its residents.
This contract resulted from an open European tender in the form of a competitive dialogue procedure. The province of Utrecht, an innovative and diverse region with 26 municipalities and 1.36 million inhabitants, is seeking a renewed network infrastructure following the conclusion of their previous contract. Avit is delighted to have emerged as the winner in this competitive market.
The province of Utrecht's current network infrastructure, implemented in 2018, is nearing the end of its contract period. This necessitated the need to retender and improve this service. The new tender focuses on renewing the network infrastructure and optimizing management services.
The province of Utrecht has several key objectives with this tender:
The awarded contract encompasses the design, implementation, and management of network infrastructure services, including the necessary hardware and software, as a managed service. This ensures uniform digital connectivity between workstations, servers, the internet, and other ICT equipment at all locations of the province of Utrecht.
The province of Utrecht is positive about this collaboration and looks forward to realizing a reliable, secure, and scalable network over the next five years. This project improves the province's ICT services and increases customer satisfaction, thereby strengthening its position as an innovative region.
Ronald Kraanen at Avit: “Winning this tender is a significant milestone for Avit. It is a confirmation of our expertise and the high quality of our services. We are grateful for the trust the province of Utrecht has placed in us and we look forward to working together with the province of Utrecht on a future-proof and efficient network infrastructure that contributes to a better living environment for all residents of this beautiful province.”
